South Tipperary Tourism invites you to come on a guided walk from Golden to the Rock of Cashel along the Tipperary Heritage Way.
Enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the farmlands along the banks of the River Suir while experiencing the rich natural and cultural heritage of the area culminating with Hoare Abbey and the outstanding St Patrick’s Rock of Cashel.
The walk is part of a series showcasing the Tipperary 10 walking experience.
Route: Tipperary Heritage Way, Golden to Cashel. Date and Time: Friday, June 14, at 6pm. Registration from 5.30pm. Meeting Point: Car Park at O’Brien’s Holiday Lodge, Dundrum Road, Cashel. Bus will leave for Golden at 6pm. Walk Length/duration: 10km/ 2.5 hours. Minimum Gear: Trekking shoes, raingear and fluids. Level of Walk: Easy. Theme: Locally based archaeologist, Joanne Hughes will give a talk on the heritage of the area. Refreshments: Refreshments will be served after the walk at O’Brien’s.
