St. Joseph’s Primary School has just announced their new student council for 2012 and 2013.
“This is our third year having a student council,” said Principal Louise Tobin. “The idea of the student council is to enhance student life and to help the staff to make St. Josephs a better place.”
The student council takes on a variety of jobs including: chairperson, public relations officers, class reps, secretary and lots more.
“There are over 160 pupils in the school and only 20 are picked and to apply to the student council you must write a page of reasons why you want to be on the student council and then the best applications are put into a raffle and you are very lucky to be picked,” explained Ms. Tobin.
