Dundrum House Hotel, a Georgian country mansion with golf resort and holiday homes on 220 acres near the M8, has been put up for sale by a receiver with a €2.75 million price guide.
Set in the Golden Vale near Cashel, it has operated as a function venue, hotel and golf complex for over 30 years by the Crowe family: It’s now being sold via Savills for receiver Kieran Wallace of KPMG.
It has been run by the Dalata Group since spring, and comes to market after the sale of several golf resort hotels, including Blarney’s at €2.5m in April, and the Heritage, Killenard at over its €5.5m guide.
Dundrum Tipperary’s resort centres around a 1730s Georgian manor home and has 67 bedrooms in the three-star hotel, 16 self-catering apartments, and six coach-house apartments. The golf course, rated in the Top Ten in Munster, according to Denis O’Donoghue of Savills, takes up 160 of Dundrum’s 220-acres.
The Dundrum hospitality mix — near the Rock of Cashel, Glen of Aherlow and Swiss Cottage — includes conference facilities, bars, two restaurants, leisure centre with 21m pool and gym and has planning for a further 43 bedroom hotel, conference centre, spa, all-weather sports field and golf academy.
The hotel has 80 weddings planned for the next year.
