Almost 60 sheep classes on show at Clonmel this year

Sheep classes number almost sixty, with classes for Texels, Suffolks, Belclares, Vendeen, Rouge De L’Quests, Charollais, Beltex, Zwartbles, Jacobs, Lleyns and Scotch Blackface.

There are five commercial sheep classes including a pet lamb class, to be shown by handlers less than 13 years of age.

The Texel All Ireland breed championships will be judged in Clonmel this year (details of these classes are available from the Texel breed secretary , Ms Helen Brophy 087 3552991

The Zwartble and Lleyns breeds will also have their All Ireland Championships at Clonmel Show.

This year will also see two classes for Rare Sheep breeds.
