Gleeson Concrete of Donohill has scooped a National Sustainability Award from the Irish Concrete Society.
The Irish Concrete Society made the award at their annual event under the Building Category in recognition of Gleeson Concrete’s role as major supplier to the Tipperary Civic Offices project. This award scheme enables the Irish Concrete Society to acknowledge construction achievements in which concrete in any form contributes significantly to the built environment.
Tipperary Town Clerk Paul Murray said that he was delighted that Gleeson Concrete had won this award. He said that this was the latest in a long line of awards that the civic offices had received to date including the LAMA Award 2013: Best Civil Engineering Project, Irish Building and Design Awards 2013: Engineering Project of the Year,
Mayor Cllr. Anna Touhy Halligan expressed her delight at the news and congratulated the company on their achievement and all the members voiced their support .
