A very impressive Christmas tree was launched in the new Tipperary Co-op car park at Link Road, Tipperary before Christmas.

A good crowd was in attendance to witness the lighting of the tree and the arrival of Santa.

Pierce Gordon of Tipperary Co-op SuperValu thanked all who attended and said that the Christmas spirit is alive and well in Tipperary Town this year.  MC for the occasion, Willie Bunn, kept the children entertained.

Tim Ryan of TIRD/Chamber of Commerce took the opportunity to thank Tipperary Co-op for their support in promoting the town and urged shoppers to give as much business to local businesses as possible as the retail and service sectors are the driving force of the local economy.

When Santa arrived on his magical sleigh he was swarmed by the children and he turned on the tree lights to the appreciation of all present. Many thanks from the TIRD/Chamber of Commerce and the Byrne family of Ballyglass who sponsored the tree.
