A well known former Carrick pub will go under the hammer with a reserve price of just €10,000 at the country’s biggest ever auction next week.

The former Shebeen Bar at the corner of New Street and Main Street is one of 70 commercial properties out of a total of 180 lots up for sale at the Allsop Space Auction at the RDS next Tuesday, February 25.

The building has been vacant several years and while it’s certainly a bargain, any new owner will have to invest a considerable sum to renovate the three-storey property. According to Allsop Space, the 211.36sq.m building is not available for viewing prior to the auction due to health and safety concerns over the building’s condition.
