On Tuesday, August 6, a meeting of the Town Council will take place to discuss the Tipperary Town Link Road and Traffic Management Plan.
Mayor Anna Touhy-Halligan highlighted the importance of this meeting particularly in light of the public’s strong opposed reaction to the new plans.
“At the meeting the councilors will have the opportunity to examine the town manager’s report. From there the councilors have 6-weeks to decided to accept, reject or amend it.”
Mayor Anna Touhy Halligan is hoping for the new traffic proposal and plans to be passed in a manner that is acceptable to everyone. “A lot of work and lobbying went into getting this money from the Minister and it would be a huge disappointment if an agreed proposal, acceptable to everyone, couldn’t be made”.
