Local Value Centre manager Jonathan Aylward has been named as Cash and Carry Manager of the Year 2013, by independent trade magazine, Shelflife as part of the GRAM awards.
Jonathan was recognised amongst a number of retail and wholesale managers across the country, as being a standout leader within the Irish grocery industry. Jonathan manages Value Centre Clonmel, which is operated as part of a network by BWG Foods.
The Grocery Retail Awards in Management (GRAMs), now in its eighth year, is the first and only national management award scheme exclusively devoted to recognising the best managers in the Irish retail, wholesale and off-licence sectors.
Commenting on the announcement, Value Centre Cash & Carry manager Jonathan Aylward said: “I am delighted and humbled to have been recognised as a leader in the industry. Jonathan has a retail career spanning nearly 15 years having started his career in the trade at just 16, before taking up his current position two years ago. Since joining Value Centre Clonmel, Jonathan has enjoyed numerous successes and currently manages 25 people at the site.
