The Traders of Cahir under the auspice of the Promoting Cahir Group have launched their first ever brochure detailing traders’ special offers for the upcoming festive season.

Keep an eye out for your brochure which will be delivered by post this week and will also available in local shops and businesses by the end of the week.

Traders aim not only to encourage visitors to Cahir to shop but also to encourage residents to buy local this Christmas. A brochure seems like a good start.

To further promote trade, a buy local draw will take place where spending more than €10 in any participating store (participating stores will be published in local papers shortly) automatically entitles you entry into this draw, €500 in local shop vouchers is the prize and much more...

Also, all brochure numbers will automatically be entered into another draw where one number will win €400 in local shop vouchers, so keep your brochure in a safe place.

The draws will take place in a pre Christmas event on Saturday, December 22, in association with Cahir Farmers Christmas Market.

There will be carol singing, mince pies and hot apple juice for all to enjoy, a lovely way to start off the Christmas celebrations, so watch this space for more details!

In return, all traders ask is that you make an effort to buy local and keep trade going in Cahir.

They in turn will try to promote what Cahir has to offer through incentives such as this brochure and by organising events to try to encourage visitors to the town too.

Thanks go to South Tipperary County Council for facilitating meetings and providing traders with invaluable information and resources, the local traders who attended meetings and gave their input and Cahir House Hotel for kindly making meeting rooms available.

The traders of Cahir sincerely hope that you have a peaceful Christmas and prosperous New Year.

So don’t forget, Buy Local!
