Cllr Michael Fitzgerald would like people to be aware of the proposed traffic calming scheme for Thomastown Village.
This proposed development extends for approximately 0.8km along the N74 National Secondary Road through Thomastown. It is intended to provide new footpaths, car parking, road markings, road signs and new public lighting.
The purpose of the scheme is to reduce traffic speeds, provide improved facilities to pedestrians and road users and provide better safety at Thomastown NS. Plans can be inspected at any County Council office in Tipperary, Cashel or Clonmel or from Cllr Fitzgerald at 0872292126. Submissions can be made by the public up to 4.30pm on Thursday, October 17, to the Director of Roads at South Tipperary County Council.
