As part of an initiative set up by South Tipperary County Council, two meetings have taken place with a cross section of retail businesses in Cahir, with a view to developing a Retail Strategy for Cahir.

Items discussed include – Attracting new businesses to the town; Revitalisation of derelict sites; Enhancing links with Tourism; Use of Social Media and websites to promote your business, and training on same; Collective Marketing initiatives.

In an effort to ensure that these ideas – and any other ideas that arise - are acted upon, it is felt that Cahir needs to set up a Town Forum, made up of business people in the area.

With this in mind, a meeting of Cahir Retailers and Business people has been called for Thursday, May 31, at 7.30pm in Cahir Enterprise Centre (entry through the rear of the building) and the meeting will be facilitated by Kathleen Prendergast, Economic Development Officer - South Tipperary County Council.

If you are interested in maximising your business, you should really be there.

Tea and coffee will be served.
