6th Sense have targeted Saturday, June 4th as the opening date for its store in the Ormonde Centre in Gladstone Street.

Five full-time positions will be created in the store, which will occupy 230 square metres (2,500 square feet), with a frontage to Gladstone Street.

6th Sense opened its first stand-alone store in Ireland in Athlone last December. The company says it now sits in over 100 multi-brand retail stores throughout Ireland and is represented in 5 different markets - Ireland, UK, Greece, Hungary and China.

The opening of the store is another boost for the town centre and follows the successful opening of the DV8 store in the same location last November.

Letting agent Pat Quirke says he is in talks with a number of other leading retailers in a bid to continue the regeneration of Clonmel town centre, and hopes to announce further details shortly.
