Cahir film maker wins International Green Award

‘The Pipe’ - the movie made about the Shell gas pipeline in Mayo, by a film maker from Cahir - has won the Best Audio-Visual Award at the International Green Awards.

The prestigious awards were held in the Natural History Museum, London, last Thursday.

Launched in 2006, the International Green Awards were set up to recognise strategies that use creativity in an engaging and effective manner, leading to more sustainable outcomes. It is now an established event on the global sustainable business-calendar.

‘The Pipe’ has been released on the US this month and is now available on iTunes, Playstation and Xbox, and is coming to Netlfix after Christmas.

‘The Pipe’ was shown on Australian Natural television last week on SBS1 and is now available on DVD in shops in Australia.
