Killenaule and Moyglass Parish Journal Committee wish to take this opportunity to congratulate John Guiton on his retirement and on his fair reporting of all the matches he attended for 31 years, especially G.A.A. matches and it’s affairs through the medium of the Tipperary Star. Good wishes also go out from all on the Journal Committee and a special thank you for his professional and expertise he brought to our meetings.His guidance on many journalistic matters was much appreciated. To a quiet and inoffensive gentleman we say “Breatha agus slainte agus rath De ort”.
At the first monthly meeting of year for senior citizens held in St. Mary’s Hall on Wednesday 9th February, mass was offered in the Hall for over 50 members followed by the blessing of throats, blessing of the sick and each receiving a blessed candle.
Special afternoon tea of chicken and chips and entertainment of Bingo with music provided by a local group. Well done to the committee and new helpers for all their work.
TWO ACT COMEDY
Glengoole and Gortnahoe Drama Group will stage their comedy – “Tom Dick and Harry” in Glengoole Hall on Thursday 24th February, Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th at 8pm. Tickets €10 per adult and €5 per child.
