The Official Opening of Supermac’s Clonmel took place last Saturdayand saw families treated to a day full of fun and entertainment.
The new outlet, which is a massive boost for the town features a wide range of culinary options under one roof which were sampled by excited locals on Saturday afternoon.
Located adjacent to the Powerstown Centre near Tesco, the restaurant offers Supermac’s, Papa John’s Pizza, Quiznos Subs, a Drive Thru service and a Tim Horton’s Cake and Bake shop.
The Official Opening Event was broadcast live on ‘Weekenders with Ruth O’Shea and Paddy McKenna’ on RTÉ 2fm and the new branch was officially opened by Mayor of Clonmel Councillor Pat English. The announcement of Supermac’s arrival to Clonmel created huge excitement a number of weeks ago, with the news that over 35 jobs would be created as a result, providing a massive boost to the local economy with employment levels now at 40 within the restaurant.
There was plenty of fun for everyone with full-line up of entertainment all afternoon that included face-painting, stilt walkers and special appearances from Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Big kids put their culinary skills to the test, designing their own pizzas with a special Papa John’s ‘Make and Bake’.
