Dundrum team win Macra Impromptu Debating Competition

The team from Dundrum Macra in South Tipperary have won this year’s National Impromptu Debating competition. The final of the competition took place last weekend in Tinahely Community Centre, Co. Wicklow.

The team from Dundrum Macra in South Tipperary have won this year’s National Impromptu Debating competition. The final of the competition took place last weekend in Tinahely Community Centre, Co. Wicklow.

The special prize of Best Debater also went to Dundrum’s Una Ryan. Her two teammates were Michael O’Dwyer and Pat McCormack.

The Dundrum Macra team have now won themselves a place on the Macra Prize-winner’s Trip which will take place next year.

Macra National President, Alan Jagoe, congratulated the winners on their eloquent oratory skills and said it had been an extremely enjoyable and informative debate.
