Butler trail walk in Cahir on Sunday

The Butler Trail cordially invites you to take a stroll along the 2km Coronation Walk with us on Sunday, October 7 to mark National Trails Day!

This event is aimed towards families who would like to enjoy a leisurely post–lunch walk along the banks of the river Suir between Cahir Castle and Swiss Cottage – two of the finest Butler buildings in the country.

To encourage people to take part, the Office of Public Works who manage both buildings have very kindly offered free admission and guided tours to all families who participate.

There are some additional treats lined up along the way – so the walk promises something of interest for participants of all ages.

Anyone who wishes to avail of the guided tour of Cahir Castle should meet at the castle carpark at 1.45pm for registration.

The meeting point for the walk is at 2.45pm in the carpark with the walk beginning at 3pm. We look forward to seeing you there! For further information go to www.nationaltrailsday.ie
