Chamber of Commerce calls for Yes vote in Fiscal Treaty Referendum

Clonmel Chamber of Commerce has called for a Yes vote in the EU Fiscal Stability Treaty Referendum. The call comes following a meeting of the Chambers Ireland network, representing companies employing more than 500,000 employees, with An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny at Government Buildings on Monday.
Speaking following the meeting, Brian Cleary, CEO of Clonmel Chamber said “The business community in Ireland is resolutely in favour of a Yes vote in the forthcoming referendum as a means of underpinning the restoration of confidence. With that confidence and greater levels of economic activity we can secure the jobs already in place, support local business and create a better environment for new business start-ups. This will help to deliver the growth so vitally needed to promote recovery.
I regard a Yes vote as another step towards a brighter economic future for work colleagues, Clonmel, the south east region and the country as a whole”, he stated.
