A Clonmel company has scooped its third award in four years at the Irish Print Awards.
The Label Factory won the Self Adhesive Label Category at last Sunday’s awards in Dublin for its labels for Carlow brewing company O’Hara’s and their Barrell Aged Series.
The company was shortlisted in three different categories.
Established in 2002, The Label Factory is an Irish-owned and managed family business and is based at the Gurtnafleur Business Park. Director Susan Schaerer (nee Flaherty), is originally from Clonmel and runs the business with her husband Peter, the managing director.
The Irish Print Awards recognise the best of the country’s print sector and are regarded as the leading independent awards event for the Irish print industry.
The judges praised their successful entry for its “superb detail, good combination of processes, effective choice of typography and consistency with overall style of design.”
The Label Factory continued to fly the flag for Irish printing recently when the company once again acted as the official print partner for the 6th annual Blas na hEireann National Irish Food awards in Dingle. The Blas na hEireann awards is a not-for-profit organisation and was created by a group of Irish producers so that quality benchmarks could be established for Irish producers on a level playing field.
Apart from being the approved supplier to the National Irish Food awards for a number of years, The Label Factory has also been an approved supplier for labels for the Guaranteed Irish brand for nearly 10 years.
