Dundrum House Hotel - Minister vows to save jobs

Dundrum House Hotel, established by businessman Austin Crowe in 1981, went into receivership on Monday.

Minister of State Tom Hayes paid tribute this week to Austin and Mary Crowe and their family for the ‘massive contribution’ they made to the local economy.

“Dundrum House Hotel is very important to the local community as it is a huge employer in West Tipperary. Grant Thornton were appointed as receivers on Monday and I want the jobs to be protected at the hotel. There are people interested in the business and hopefully everything will be done to ensure jobs are protected,” said the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture.

Up to one hundred people, full time and part time, are employed at the hotel.
