Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin TD has expressed his condolences at the passing of South Tipperary County Councillor Michael Anglim.

Ardfinnan councillor Michael Anglim died earlier this week and will be buried this Friday

Cllr Anglim served on South Tipperary County Council as a member of Fianna Fáil since 1991.

Deputy Martin commented: “I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Michael. He was a true gent and was always kind and courteous in everything he did.

“Michael was a very valuable member of Fianna Fáil and worked tirelessly for the party in his time as a Councillor. He was also a proud Ardfinnan man and was very active in the GAA.

“On behalf of myself and the Fianna Fáil party, I would to extend my deepest sympathies to Michael’s wife Bridie; son Micheál; daughters Mary, Joan, Rosaleen and Valerie; his grandchildren as well as his extended family and network of friends.

“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.”
