Gardai have yet to make any arrests in the shooting dead of a Clonmelman in West Tipperary this week.

30 year-old Shane Rossiter was shot dead early on Wednesday morning at a house in Chapel Lane, Golden.

Gardai investigating the murder say they are keeping an open mind in relation to the shooting.

They have renewed their appeal for information in relation to the 30 year-old’s death and are particularly interested in a black car believed to have been at the scene early on Wednesday.

State pathologist Marie Cassidy performed an autopsy on the body later that afternoon at Waterford Regional Hospital but the results haven’t been disclosed “for operational reasons”, according to Gardai.

Shane Rossiter was the son of Siobhan and Pat Rossiter, Clonmel.

The victim is a brother of Brian Rossiter, who was 14 when he died three days after being found unconscious in a cell at Clonmel Garda Station in 2002.
