Macra delegation meet with European Young Farmers

A delegation from Macra na Feirme recently met with CEJA (the European Council of Young Farmers), Secretary General Inga Klawitter in Brussels to discuss issues of concern to Irish and European young farmers particular the Young Farmer Installation Aid Scheme.

Ms Klawitter outlined the current activities of CEJA and said the provision of Installation Aid across European countries remains a key priority for CEJA. The Macra delegation highlighted the effect the current suspension of the scheme by the Irish Government is having on young Irish farmers and the need for the suspension to be lifted.
