Neven Maguire travels to Clonmel

The fourth programme of top chef Neven Maguire’s third TV series of ‘Home Chef’, being broadcast at 8.30pm on Thursday, February 2, will feature Clonmel’s Bulmers factory and orchards. One of RTÉ’s highest watched food programmes, Neven’s previous series attracted 315,000 viewers per show.

The show will see Neven travel to Clonmel to find out about new methods of growing apple trees. The ‘fruit wall’ he visits there is similar to a vineyard and contains ten times as many trees per acre as the traditional orchard. Neven enjoys his first taste of cider and learns how successful Irish cider has become in the UK.
