Recruitment aid for employers

Employers throughout South Tipperary have been provided with a new information package to aid recruitment.

South Tipperary Development Company (STDC), through its Local and Community Development Programme has developed an Employer Recruitment Incentives Information Pack for employers in South Tipperary.

The pack will be targeted at employers across all of South Tipperary to make sure that they are aware of the number of incentives and services available when recruiting unemployed people.

The pack provides very clear and detailed information in a format that is very user-friendly.

In addition STDC has in place a comprehensive Employer Support Programme where an employer can meet with a member of staff, discuss these options and get hands on assistance to actually use and avail of the incentives available to them.

The South Tipperary Development Company is currently establishing employer networks across South Tipperary. STDC recognises the role of employers as major stakeholders in the development of any strategy and actions that would be undertaken to support the progression into employment of people who are long term unemployed. A network is currently being developed in Cashel in collaboration with Cashel Chamber of Commerce and the wider business community. or further information please contact Phil Shanahan, Programme Manager, South Tipperary Development Company, Unit 2C Carrigeen Commercial Park,
