Step it out with Operation Transformation Walk in Clonmel this Saturday

This Saturday, January 19, Clonmel will host one of the 38 National Operation Transformation Walks taking place all over Ireland.

RTE’s television programme ‘Operation Transformation’ is teaming up with South Tipperary Sports Partnership and the Irish Sports Council to organise this event.

The Walk will commence at 11am from the Clonmel Park Hotel and will follow a lovely 5k route around Marlfield and return to the Park Hotel for refreshments.

Please note that everyone will be asked to sign in on the day which will take place between 10.00am and 10.45am at the

Clonmel Park Hotel in Executive Room 4.

This event is free and open to all ages and abilities – families are welcome. So please feel free to bring a friend or two along with you.

The walk will be led by Irish Heart Foundation Walking Leaders Geraldine Houlihan and Mary Flynn and supported by an Garda Siochana, South

Tipperary Civil Defence and Clonmel AC.

For the safety of all participants, bicycles and pets are not permitted on the walk.

We hope to build on last year’s success which saw over 550 participants take part in the walk.

So whether you have already broken the New Year’s resolution of being more active or you wish

to kick start it now – this walk is just the thing for you.

If you are interested in attending please contact STSP on 062 64783 or email info@stsp.ie by Thursday, January 17 to give us an idea of numbers attending.

If you have already registered, thank you and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
