Tipp businessmen in new Aldi ad campaign
Milk Producer Edward Carr of Knockmaroe in Milestone and Kieran Hynes, Managing Director of Glenpatrick Spring Water, which is based in Clonmel, will be starring in Aldi Stores (Ireland) Ltd’s new advertising campaign, “Love Ireland, Like Aldi”. Highlighting Aldi’s strong Irish sourcing credentials and longstanding partnerships with Irish farmers and producers, the campaign will feature TV and press adverts, in-store point-of-sale branding and the production of an information brochure detailing Aldi’s relationship with Irish suppliers and producers which will be available at each of Aldi’s 96 Irish stores.
Edward Carr will feature in the TV adverts, while Kieran Hynes and Glenpatrick Spring Water will feature on the in-store posters and in the Irish sourcing brochure.
A third generation milk producer, Edward Carr has supplied Aldi since 2010. Established in Clonmel in 1985, Glenpatrick Spring Water employs 90 people and has worked with Aldi for the past eight years, supplying Aldi with 16 million litres of Irish spring water each year.
Commenting on the new campaign, Kieran Hynes of Glenpatrick Spring Water said, “We are delighted to take part in Aldi’s new advertising campaign as it promotes a very positive message about buying Irish. In the current climate encouraging people to support local producers and companies is of the utmost importance. A proud supporter of Irish farmers and producers, Aldi now works with over 125 Irish suppliers. Over 50% of all grocery sales at Aldi are generated on products bought from Irish suppliers, producers and manufacturers.
