McDermott’s Londis of Clonmel, was a proud winner of a Bronze Award at the Londis Retailing Excellence Awards 2012, crowning the final day of the Group’s conference, which recognised the strong role that Londis Retailers play in their respective communities, providing employment, sourcing local products, supporting local causes and servicing the needs of the communities in which they operate.

In winning this award, the store was independently audited across a range of criteria including the emphasis placed on customer care, the quality of their fresh food offering, the depth and breadth of their product range, and the store’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.

McDermott’s Londis Clonmel received their award in recognition of their commitment to implementing exceptionally high standards throughout their store, thereby providing an excellent consumer experience to their local community.

On presenting the award, Stephen O’Riordan, Chief Executive ADM Londis, congratulated the store - “These awards follow a rigorous assessment of retailing standards and the stores that triumph work very hard to provide their customers with the best retail experience possible. They respond to the demands of their local customers and meet their needs with superb service, excellent quality and value which is as good as, if not better than that of the bigger multiples. Londis stores play a hugely important role in towns and villages across Ireland, servicing the needs of their local community as well as providing employment and I would like to congratulate our winners tonight, together with their outstanding teams and acknowledge the dedication, hard work and passion they bring to every day.”
