Carrick-on-Suir Red Cross looking forward to another busy year

Carrick on Suir Branch and Unit of the Irish Red Cross will be resuming training on Tuesday, January 15 at 7pm in the Carrickbeg Community Hall

2012 was an extremely busy year with duties, such as Hot Rod Racing at the Pike, Three Counties Challenge [Athletics], Triathlon, Charity Cycles to name a few.

We also ran a number of Occupational First Aid, Practical First Aid and Cardiac First Responder courses in the Nano Nagle Resource Centre and the in the local Community.

Our Youth Section is going from strength to strength, last year our members participated in First Aid Competitions, attended the National Youth Challenge Funday, Laser blast as well as completing a number of Courses.

New members are always welcome, you may wish to be part of the Branch Committee that help organise events like fundraising, publicity campaigns or you may wish to become part of the Unit and after Training attend Duties, or if 25 and over with a clean B licence become one of our Drivers, these are just some of the rolls that are on offer when you join up.

So if you have some free time, want to broaden you First Aid skills, meet new people, like been part of a hard working diverse team why not come along and see what we can offer you.
