Clogheen quiz-goers sweep the boards!

Cahir Credit Union Primary Schools Quiz took place on Friday, February 1, at Cahir House Hotel.

11 teams took part in the quiz which included Cahir Girls Primary School, Cahir Boys School, Burncourt Primary School, Ballylooby, Tankardstown, Balldrehid and St. Mary’s National School Clogheen.

The winning school was St. Mary’s Primary School, Clogheen, A and B teams!

The A team included Kyle Morrissey, Jack Breedy, David O’Donoghue, Alana English. The B Team were Liam Moore, Conor Walsh, Jane Hyland, Dillon Flynn.

Quiz Master on the night was Mr. Michael Berry, Treasurer, Cahir Credit Union.

President, of Cahir Credit Union Pat O’Malley presented the prizes.

Michael Berry thanked the supporters and especially the teams who took part in a very sporting competition.

The two winning teams will go forward to the second stage of the competition which will be held in the Woodlands Hotel, Waterford on Sunday, March 3.
