Limerick Junction Station is celebrating as staff member, Frances Bennett has been named Station Staff member of the year at this year’s Iarnród Éireann customer service awards person of the year.

Limerick Junction Station is celebrating as staff member, Frances Bennett has been named Station Staff member of the year at this year’s Iarnród Éireann customer service awards person of the year.

Frances beat off stiff competition from the other 36 nominees in this category. David Hassett also from Limerick Junction was also nominated in the same category as was Lillian Moore from Thurles Station.

Frances along with the other nominees were nominated by their colleagues for their excellent customer service.

Frances’s nomination said: “Frances is top class at her work. She is friendly, polite and listens to customer needs. Frances is appreciated and respected by our regular commuters”

The Iarnród Éireann Customer service awards are now in their 2nd year and are designed to acknowledge those, across a range of roles who have excelled in customer service. The categories for nominations were: Station Staff, Onboard Staff, Contractors and Customer Relations.

The Awards took place at Inchicore Training Centre.
