The search is on for the lucky person or syndicate that is €500,000 richers following a massive Euromillions win in Cahir!
Speculation in the town is rife, this week, following the news that one of the top winning tickets in last week’s Euromillions lottery draw was sold in the town.
The ticket was purchased from Ladrigan’s on Abbey Street, in Cahir. Apparently it was a €9 quickpick and no-one knows who the lucky winner is!
There are guesses that it may be a local but just as likely is that it could have been a passing motorist or a visitor to the town. Cahir is the crossroads of Munster, on bus routes from Dublin to Cork, Limerick to Waterford, so the winner could be anywhere in Ireland - but we’re hoping the lucky person or syndicate is a local!
Eagle-eyed people watchers will be on the look out for neighbours buying flash new cars or going on luxurious holidays in the coming weeks and months if the lucky winner is not publicly identified.
Ladrigan’s has certainly been lucky spot for lotto players over the years having sold a €5.2 million lotto ticket winner a little over 10 years ago, a €30,000 winner on a Scratchcard only last year and also a €30,000 Telly Bingo winner amongst other prizes that have been won in the popular shop.
This latest win reconfirms the Cahir shop as being one of the luckiest place in Ireland to get a lottery ticket! This latest windfall brings to 12 the number of great wins for its customers.
If you are the lucky winner you have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim your prize.
The National Lottery advise you to sign the back of the ticket, keep it in a safe place and contact them as soon as possible.
