Tipperary footballers lose to Cork

Tipperary’s good run in the McGrath Cup senior football tournament came to an end on Sunday when they were beaten by favourites Cork in the final at Clonmel. Cork won 0-13 to 0-6 having led 0-6 to 0-3 at the break. It was Tipp’s fourth Sunday in a row to play at the Clonmel venue, having beaten Limerick IT, Waterford IT and UCC on the previous three Sundays.
