Two very contrasting performances from our U/21 hurlers over the past two weekends. Our first outing was against Skeheenarinky on Sunday week last and we were defeated on a 1-13 to 0-06 scoreline. There were no excuses as we were beaten by a much better side on the day which left us with a do or die game against Kilsheelan on Bank Holiday which would decide our future in the championship.
The lads pulled out all the stops on Monday and played some very good hurling and won the game 5-15 to 1-06 to keep our hopes alive. The final positions in the group will be decided when Skeheenarinky meet Kilsheelan but at least we have given ourselves a sporting chance of qualifying for the semi- final

We had our first outing in The Carrigeen Tournament on Sunday last when we defeated Mooncoin in a very exciting game.
Monday 22/10/2012 5-10-14-25 Jackpot was 9800 euro we had no winner but Pat Walsh matched 3 and won 200 euro.
Monday 29/10/2012 1-9-23-26 Jackpot was 10000 euro and again we had no winner but Marie Connolly and Deirdre Landers matched three and won 100 euro each. This was the first anniversary of our club lotto and we had a lovely evening in the Social Centre to celebrate. Once again a big debt of gratitude to our Lotto Committee, promoters and supporters.
On behalf of myself and all my family I would like to thank everybody who supported us on the recent and sudden death of my mother. It was a terrible shock to us all but the way you rallied around was a source of great comfort to us all. May she rest in peace
