Tipperary intermediate hurlers have been busy preparing for the Munster Intermediate Hurling semi-final.

They have played two challenge games recently against the Laois seniors in Portlaoise and Clarinbridge of Galway, the 2011 All Ireland Club hurling champions, in Nenagh. While they are unable to include players who played in the All Ireland final victory over Kilkenny last year, this presents a great opportunity for other players to come to the fore in 2013.

The Tipperary Intermediates will be captained by David Young of Toomevara and the vice- captain is Orrie Quirke of Silvermines.
