Tipperary hurler Brendan Cummins won the Poc Fada competition in the Cooley Mountains for a record seventh time over the weekend.

The Ballybacon-Grange clubman won with four shots to spare over Down’s Graham Clarke.

Cummins has been virtually unbeatable in the Poc Fada in the present generation of hurlers and enjoys the challenge at the County Louth venue.

“It’s a great challenge and a great experience” says the Tipp goalkeeper renowned for his huge puck-outs.
