Tipp minor hurlers into Munster semi-final

Tipperary are through to the Munster minor hurling championship semi-final following a comprehensive play-off victory over Cork at Semple Stadium on Sunday. Tipp beat the Rebels 2-16 to 1-9 to set up a semi-final date with Clare on June 24.

Cork enjoyed a good start but 2-2 from Mullinahone’s Cathal Horan had Tipp in front by the interval and they built on that lead in the second half.

Loughmore-Castleiney’s Liam McGrath was top scorer with 0-9 from frees.
