This stage of the competition sees the involvement of the divisional champions for the first time.

On Saturday, Clonoulty-Rossmore play Nenagh Eire Og followed by champions Thurles Sarsfields against Mid rivals Loughmore-Castleiney.

On Sunday, South champions Mullinahone, featuring Tipp players Eoin Kelly and Paul Curran, meet Borris Ileigh while Toomevara take on Drom-Inch in the second game.
