Fethard had a good win over a weakened Mullinahone in the South Tipperary senior football championship at Cloneen, winning 1-14 to 0-10.
Mullinahone were without all four Curran brothers but former All Ireland winning Tipperary hurling captain came on as a sub for the Kickhams men and showed what a fine footballer he is.
But it wasn’t enough to prevent Fethard taking the points in an impressive display.
Fethard seemed to lack the clinical sharpness of old to put C.J.K. away but many of their supporters will be pleased as Fethard’s football fortunes seem to be turning around. Most of their forwards seemed to be able to pick off scores and their free-takers were reliable.
