The Divisional highlight on this All-Ireland hurling final weekend will be the eagerly awaited Clonmel Oil Senior football championship decider between Moyle Rovers and Killenaule which will be played in Kilsheelan on Saturday evening at 6-30 p.m. with Ardfinnan’s Martin Doyle in charge of the whistle. The curtain-raiser to the big game will be the Mulcahy Construction junior football (B) quarter-final between Moyle Rovers and Mullinahone at 5 p.m. This should prove to be a very entertaining tussle between evenly matched sides.
The only other tie scheduled for the weekend in the Division is the Quirke Jewellers junior hurling (A) semi-final between St. Patricks and Skeheenarinky which will be played in Clonmel Sportsfield at 3-30p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Hurling followers will not miss what promises to be a cracking contest between two sides who have shown impressive form throughout the competition. The Drangan/Cloneen combination will be slightly favoured to advance but “Skeheen” will have other ideas and it will be surprising if more than a score or two separates them at the endr.
Extra time in event of a draw.
