The parish hurling league resumed last Saturday following the postponement the previous Saturday due to our minors playing in the county B football final. Hard luck to our minors, who were beaten by just one point.
Nicholas Reidy’s team took on Eoin Corbett’s team and to say this was a titanic struggle would be a huge understatement. This great game ended in a draw, which on the balance of play was a fair result.
Stephen Grogan’s team took on David Richards and again we had a great game. There were some great displays with David and Stephen leading by example.
At the moment anyone of the teams can qualify for the A final which leads us to look forward to some exciting fare next week at the penultimate games. If you can be in Duneske next Saturday at 2.30pm to see our stars of the future in action it is the place to be.
Many thanks to Tommy Barrett for welding up the posts. Best of luck to our junior B hurlers who play in the county semi-final next Saturday and also to the ladies footballers who play in the all Ireland semi-final in Fermanagh next Sunday.
