Tipperary lady footballers will hope to win the Jim Kennedy Cup when they take on Waterford in the final this Sunday.
The game takes place in Cahir at 2pm and a close contest is expected.
Tipp may start slight favourites having overcome Cork in the quarter final and then proving too strong for the students of Mary Immaculate College in the semi-final.
However games against their Deise neighbours are always close and manager Sean O’Donovan is expecting a tough challenge.
The cup honours Clonmel man Jim Kennedy, the first president of the ladies football association, who will be present to hand over the cup to the winning captain.
