Tipperary talk on migraine and sport

The Migraine Association of Ireland (MAI) will hold the first national seminar on ‘Migraine and Sport’ at the Anner Hotel in Thurles on Wednesday September 18 at 7.30pm.

Dr Edward O’Sullivan, director of the Cork Migraine/Headache Clinic and medical advisor to the MAI will give a talk entitled ‘Understanding Migraine in a Sporting Context’.

Julie Sugrue, chartered physiotherapist at the Beaumont Hospital multidisciplinary headache clinic will discuss physiotherapy and headache management.

Approximately half a million people in Ireland suffer from migraine and although sports and exercise can be of benefit to a migraine sufferer, they can also trigger migraine attacks in many people.
