Busy weekend for GAA matches

The Clean Ireland Recycling county minor A football final between Clonmel Commercials and Drom and Inch will be played at Boherlahan on Sunday next, November 3 at 11.45am with Paddy Russell of Emly as referee. Commercials are seeking their 4th title in a row and 19th in all while Drom and Inch are seeking their first ever title at this grade. Commercials previously won a 4 in a row of minor titles between 1935 and 1938.

Good luck to Ballyporeen for their AIB Munster Intermediate Club Football championship quarter final against De La Salle of Waterford at Clonmel Sportsfield on Sunday next, November 3 at 2pm.

The Clean Ireland Recycling Junior A hurling championship final will be played on Saturday next, November 2 at Leahy Park, Cashle between Moycarkey Borris and Knockavila Donaskeigh Kickhams. Ger Fitzpatrick of Roscrea will be the referee. Knockavilla eventually overcame Knockshegowna with a

single point 1-17 to 0-19 victory after extra time in last weekend’s replayed semi-final. Moycarkey-Borris won 1 junior title previously way back in 1954 (then known as number 1 junior and equivalent of today’s intermediate championship) while Knockavilla have

never won the junior a championship.

The Clean Ireland Recycling junior A football championship final between Drom and Inch and Shannon Rovers will be played at Dolla on Saturday next November 2 at 2.30pm. Sean Lonergan of Moyle Rovers will referee the game. Shannon Rovers are seeking their first title while Drom and Inch are seeking their second having previously won in 1975.
