With 2012 such a good year for the club it is great that it will be marked by this publication. All our teams will have a piece in the book as well as an article from one of our stars of the past. There are many photos of the year’s action and an account of each team’s progress.

During the year we unfortunately lost two of our vice presidents in Dan Kavanagh and Mick O’Mahoney and they too will be remembered in our club annual. This publication will prove a lovely keepsake from the year and at a cost of just €10 it is remarkable value and will make a lovely Christmas present for anyone with the slightest interest in the club. The book will be on sale from any committee member from Thursday on. You can also pre order your copy from the committee or online at www.commercialsgfc.com . Already orders have been steady and with a limited number of copies available early purchasing is advised. Everyone is welcome to Eldon’s on Thursday night at 9pm where the book will be launched by some of the club people that created the stories of 2012.

Well done to Colman Kennedy who was honoured on Saturday night last by the Munster Council when he was named as the Munster minor footballer of the year. Following on form “that” goal which clinched All Ireland minor glory for Tipperary in 2011, Colman was once again a leading light in Tipperary’s successful defence of their provincial crown scoring 3-5 in the Munster championship. He led Commercials to a third County Minor crown in three years and was man of the match in the county senior final. A wonderful year by Colman has now correctly been recognised by the Munster Council. A wonderful honour for Colman, his family and his club.

Bag Packing: The club’s annual bag packing at Tesco takes place this year from Friday December 21 to Monday 24th. Sympathy: The club extends sympathy to Ben Keane and his family on the death of Ben’s brother Terence during the week. May he rest in Peace.
