The minors finished off the group stages of the South Championship with a fine win against Moyle Rovers.

It’s now on to the semi-final, where our opponents will be Ballingarry. We don’t yet know the time and venue for this. In the meantime, training continues on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and it is vital at this stage of the championship that all players attend

Under 16s

The lads had a good win against Killenaule last week, and will play Ballingarry in the semi-final of the South Championship next Sunday, September 15th, in Kilsheelan. The throw-in is at 1 pm and the match is preceded by the other semi-final. All support would be most welcome. Please note that, if we’re lucky enough to win, the final is pencilled in for Saturday, September 21st. Time and venue tba.

Under 10s

The boys travelled to Thurles last Sunday to take part in a blitz there. They played well and a great time was had by all. Many thanks to players for attending, and to coaches and parents who helped with the logistics on the day.

Under 8s

We hosted a blitz for U/8s in the GAA Centre last weekend, and some of the local clubs participating included Ballybacon/Grange, Clonmel Og, Cahir, St. Patrick’s and Mullinahone. The day was a great success, due in no small measure to the participation of the other clubs, the hard work of the coaches and helpers, and the culinary skills of those who kept the hordes foddered! Well done to all involved. The hurling was great, and there were no losers, only winners!

Flying the Nest (Sort Of)

Best wishes to all our young players who are returning to college or heading off for the first time. The club wishes them the best of luck and hopes they will link up with the colleges GAA competition.

Five Year Plan

The club is in the process of completing it’s five year plan, if you have any ideas or suggestions please contact the chairman Noel Buckley 087 8537266.

Adult & Minor Players

During the month of October we plan to hold a meeting with all our adult and minor players re: planning for next year. Anyone interested in playing minor, Under 21, Intermediate or Junior B will be expected to attend. A date for the meeting will be announced in the next two weeks. In the meantime all senior players have training Tues and Fridays and are expected to be present. No excuses.
