Carrick Swan GAA Club’s U-21 ‘A’ hurlers play Mullinahone in the South U-21 A Semi-Final in Kilsheelan on Saturday at 2pm.

Carrick Swan GAA Club’s U-21 ‘A’ hurlers play Mullinahone in the South U-21 A Semi-Final in Kilsheelan on Saturday at 2pm.

The Club appeals to it members and supporters to attend the match and cheer on the Swan players as they try and qualify their club for its eighth South ‘A’ hurling final.

The Club’s U-16 team were beaten by North Tipp champions Kilruane McDonaghs in the County A Final in Littleon last Saturday.

It was a tough hard fought match and unfortunately the breaks on the day didn’t go the Swan players way. They narrowly missed three goal chances near the very end and lost by a goal.

The Club thanks all U-16 players and mentors for the time and effort they put in this year.

Meanwhile, the Club’s U-21 team played Cashel in a challenge game under lights in St Molleran’s GAA Club grounds last Friday.

The Swan shop is now open for Christmas orders. Make sure to order early to avoid disappointment. You can contact Mary Barrett, Yvonne O’ Halloran, Bernie Torpey or you can place your order through the Club’s Facebook page.

Numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto draw were 9, 11, 16, 27. The €7,500 jackpot prize wasn’t won. Six players matched three numbers to win €40 each.

The Club extends sympathy to the Cashin family, New Line Road and Quinn family, Carrickbeg on their recent family bereavements.
