Annerville Awards: The annual Annervile Awards take place at Hotel Minella on January 26th. Take Me Out: Clonmel’s first “Take Me Out” night will be held by the club on January 25 in Eldon’s M Bar. This promises to be a really entertaining evening with some of the area’s finest young men battling for the hearts of the ladies. Plenty of craic is assured and this promises to be a great night out. Ticket details will appear on the club website on this Friday evening.

Mouth Guards Become Compulsory: From January 1 it is now compulsory for all players from minor and younger to wear mouth guards in training and matches. Insurance will not now cover dental damage if a player is not wearing a mouth guard and the club will not be liable for any expenses incurred. Full details including a special offer to club members are now available on www.commercilsgfc.com. As this rule will come in for all grades on January 1 2014 all players are advised to take note of this and act sooner rather than later.

Club AGM: The club AGM will take place in The Clonmel Park Hotel on Sunday January 27 at 5pm. Nomination papers are currently being circulated. Please use this forum to express your views on all club issues.

Club Yearbook: The reaction to the club yearbook has been very positive and sales have gone very well. There are just a few copies left so if anyone requires a copy ring Ned Brophy or Brian White.

Club 7aside: The club annual 7 aside took place on Saturday last. A great day’s fun was had and further details will appear in next week’s notes.

Happy New Year: We wish all our members and friends a Happy and sporting 2013

Sympathy: The club offers sympathy to the family and friends of May Kelly (King Street) who passed away on Christmas week. May’s son Tommy (Ned) was a former player, selector and administrator with the club. Ned also held the position of club chairman. May she rest in Peace
