Killenaule had a marvellous attacking half back line of Niall Bergin, Paddy Codd and Kieran Bergin which made a major contribution to their victory. Galtee Rovers played Seamus Moloney as a third midfielder to good effect but the Rovers forwards were not able to use the space up front and poor finishing was their downfall. Killenaule were also guilty of poor finishing at times.

The Killenaule goals came from Gerry kennedy and Michael Doyle.

It was a fine team effort from Killenaule with Tony Doyle, John O’Dwyer and Gerry Kennedy all giving stellar performances up front.

For Galtee Rovers they did their best and the Morrisseys, Andrew, Pa and Colin worked hard. Colin O’Sullivan and Adrian Grace tried hard in defence as did Seamus Moloney at midfield. They must now win the Divisional championship if they want get back into the county championship.
